Cartridge Seals

GL-Provent S.L. supplies a range of spring cartridge seals, including single and double mechanical seals to suit the most demanding applications.

TYPE 52B

External 2 bolt, balanced Cartridge Seal, with dual tangential environmental controls. The 55B is an excellent Gland Packing replacement that will fit majority of equipment, and removes potential for fitting error.

TYPE 55B®

Special designed seals to suit pump models BAS, SPF, ZAS, ZASV, SOB, SOH, L, LV. In addition to standard range Type 8DIN, Type 8DINS, Type 24 and Type 1677M to suit many more pump models.

TYPE 56B®

External 4 bolt, balanced Cartridge Seal, with dual environmental controls. A cost effective general Cartridge Seal, exceptional design features and performance, whilst reducing fitting error and lowering maintenance costs.

Cartridge seals consist of a modular design, balanced, multiple spring, O-ring mounted seal, with various bolt holes and flush port combinations. Their construction eliminates the need to measure and set spring compression, and having a mechanical seal pre-assembled means that the seal faces are protected from damage during installation.

Fitting errors are significantly minimised by the Self-Aligning Stationary Faces and minimal internal/external Gland protrusion. Mechanical Seal lifetime is highly improved and maintenance frequency is greatly reduced. All three types listed eliminate shaft fretting and also guard against the clogging of seal faces and springs.
